From great reads to fashion finds, here’s what we’ve been loving this month!
This was actually a birthday gift and I love it – it smells bright and sweet, but not too sweet. The mix of florals and fruit combine for a happy, fresh scent that’s perfect for spring.
It’s pink, pretty and the perfect shape. Plus it’s covered in cats. I don’t think I need to say any more about why this is my favourite new possession.
If you’re considering getting a pair of dungarees, I’d wholeheartedly recommend you go for it. These have become just as much a staple in my wardrobe as my black jeans. They go with everything!
I’m currently planning an epic road trip around the US of A (AAARGH SO EXCITED) and, as a result, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of shorts. You know, short but not too short. These vintage cut-offs fit the bill perfectly.
Light yet moisturising and smells all fresh and cucumber-y. Pretty much everything you could want from a morning moisturiser!
I’ve long been a fan of No7’s lip crayons. They are highly pigmented but much easier to apply than a lipstick. My new matte crayon is a brighter, more spring-appropriate shade than the high-shine red I’ve been wearing pretty much every day this winter. I’m smitten.
This book is so beautiful. On the surface it appears a simple story about love, old age and forgetting, in a fantasy setting. It’s only when you get to the end that you realise how genius it has been the whole way through. The closing chapter will stay with you long after you finish.
This book is incredible. It’s the story of Cheryl Strayed’s hike along the Pacific Crest Trail during the 90s. She was 26 and set off after her mother unexpectedly died of cancer and her marriage fell apart. It’s part travelogue, part memoir. Emotional, inspiring and dare I say life changing, this book is going to stay with me for a long time.
I’ve binge-watched seasons one through five in the past few months, and I’m currently working my way through season six. If you like kick-ass female characters (Alicia, Kalinda and Diane are the ultimate girl-power trio) then you’ll love it. Is it too late to become a lawyer?
If you’re not watching Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt you need to rectify that ASAP. Ellie Kemper plays Kimmy, a 20something who spent 15 years in a bunker as part of an apocalypse cult. Upon escape she heads to the Big Apple to start living her life the way she wants to. Mainly by wearing wheelie trainers and eating candy for dinner. It’s hilarious. #hashbrownnofilter
Petalon deliver gorgeous bouquets by bicycle, and I was lucky enough to get a bunch hand-delivered to my office for my birthday! There are two bunches to choose from, each £28 and comprising a mix of fresh, seasonal blooms.
Everyone loves a tower, right? 20 Fenchurch Street is just as high as the Heron Tower with views more awesome than the Shard (because you can actually see the Shard…) The best bit? There are cool bars and restaurants up there, but entry is actually free. Yes, free. This view is free.
